Product information: Material change for SchT 5 / Scht 5S 

Please note the below upcoming change to the SchT 5 and SchT 5S marker carrier.

Starting Q3 this year, the SchT 5 and SchT 5S group markers will be manufactured out of recycled plastics – all product properties remain including the same part number, however the colour now becomes black.

There will be a transition period during this time as we phase out old stock for new stock there may be chance of mixed stock.

From beige standard polyamide                                 to black recycled polyamide

You may know the Weidmüller sustainability report. In terms of the growing importance of sustainability, we are setting new standards by using recycled material for our tag carrier SchT 5 and SchT 5S.

Everything remains the same, except for the colour: beige becomes black. (A recycled beige is not possible!)

Planned changeover: Q3 2025

Other holders and plate carriers will also be changed. However, as this is particularly noticeable with the SchT5 / SchT 5S holders, there will be a separate PCN (Product Chance Notification) for this.

The packaging will be additionally labelled so that every customer has direct access to this information via QR code.

Should there be an issue with this change, we have as an alternative the offer of the “V0” versions of this product which will continue to remain beige.
